I recently went to Shunji Matsuo Hair Studio Takashimaya outlet and enjoyed my experience there!

I went there for hair colouring to fix my hair that i did not like as the colouring looked too chopped. As soon as i entered the salon, they listened and asked about the style and colour i would like. Being indecisive and unsure of which colour will best suit me, the stylist recommended me some styles that would suit me.

Throughout the entire process, they were very nice and accommodating to me by providing water and a cupboard to keep my belongings.

I am very satisfied with the results of my hair and they kindly trimmed my fringe for me and helped me style my hair with a mermaid curl! Highly recommend others to this salon :D

Went to get my hair done to a honey blonde after having my hair coloured earlier Feb of this year. Ayako is my stylist, she did a great job in explaining what she would do and what will be needed to achieve my desired result. The staff was upfront with the total cost and the cost breakdown as well, definitely an ethical salon I would put my trust in in future!

I want to give a shout-out to my hairstylist Jun and his team for their amazing work! Jun was super friendly and took time to learn about how I wanted my hair to be colored and styled. He then worked with another colleague to give me a balayage that was just what I had envisioned. What I appreciate the most is how Jun and team treated my hair like an art project and they really took pride in each brush stroke and every little touch up. I highly recommend this place and Jun for anyone who wants to have their hair cut, colored, or styled!

I'm a regular of the flagship Shunji Matsuo salon at Ngee Ann City. So this review is kind of overdue for one of the most professional, meticulous and amiable hair colour specialist the salon has ever seen --- Sylin. Not only does she give astute colour recommendations, she has great techniques to boot, so I never need to worry about a bad hair day whenever I make my bimonthly visits. Not to mention that she's the go-to for some Mediacorp artistes too. Book her early though; her schedule's usually packed.

Kenji is my hair stylist for the past 6 years. I have absolutely 100% trust in his skills and sense of style. I look great in all the hairstyles he has created for me - long or short, straight or wavy. He knows exactly what hair colours complement my skin tone. He bleached and dyed my hair for my wedding, it was soooo pretty, even the MUA and her friends praised my hair colour and asked for details. 5 months later, my hair still looks gorgeous. The bleached hair doesn't look yellow at all, and the treatment they did left my hair smooth and healthy even now. Even the hair washing done by the assistants were great and shiok. Clean, relaxing and most importantly - scalp massage with just-right strength. Got to know about this hair salon 2 years ago via classpass and it is now my go-to salon! JJ, my hairstylist is really experienced and he listens to what hair style you want and recommended accordingly based on your hair type. JJ gives really good hair wash too!

Yesterday was my 3rd time back (without classpass now) and I walked out really satisfied with my hair cut! Wanted to do a slight trim and layering and JJ did what I wanted. Will definitely be back for my future haircuts!

Im overall very happy with my haircut done by Jessica. I went from a short bob to requesting a wolf cut which she did tell me my back is not long enough but she did try and i love the result. I was honestly abit shocked by how short the layers were but i have been asking other salons and many didnt want to cut so short for me. She also did an amazing styling for me and taught me how to maintain and style. It's my first time at shunji and i will return :)
